1. a Russian hors d’oeuvre, always served in between shots of vodka. 

2. a hot new improvisatory Inner Urge track built around a mechanically manipulated Magnus toy organ. It also features a drum beat heavily influenced by early 2000’s Eastern European tracksuit raves, a bass line to leave you with a swollen lip, and perpetual atmospheric chordal textures.

Zakuska is the result of a 4 day musical lock-in staged at The Brown Hotel in June 2018. The 4 members of The Inner Urge transformed the living room of the historic building into a mess of instruments, sleeping bags, recording equipment, and Genesee Cream Ale. The song starts out with Andrew stuffing a couple playing cards in the keys of the organ to hold on a perfect fifth interval.
